CRA representation
CRA representation for Canadian business owners
Letter, proposal, or assessment already live — triage, draft, keep the written record consistent.
If this sounds like your week
CRA sent a proposal, assessment, or audit request. A prior reply didn’t land — or made things worse. You’re past the date on the letter, or close enough that guessing feels expensive.
We work Canadian corporate and owner-manager files nationwide. Pure personal-tax-only files with no corporate tie-in aren’t a fit here.
What the first stretch usually looks like
You send a high-level note: what CRA sent, the letter date, and your deadline. We confirm whether this is our work and give you a short document list — not a fishing expedition.
Then we build the response path: what the record supports, what to say next, and what not to volunteer. That can mean drafting letters, lining up an objection where the assessment needs formal pushback, and keeping correspondence from contradicting itself across touches.
Timelines follow CRA’s clock and how fast your documents show up. We’ll say that plainly at the start.
Related: if you’re specifically preparing a Notice of Objection, that page sits beside this one. If cash or creditors are the louder problem, see corporate recovery & restructuring.
Do you deal with CRA for me?
We prepare and manage the response work so you (or your authorized representative setup) can engage cleanly. Who speaks to CRA and under what authorization gets confirmed at engagement — we don’t claim authority we don’t have on day one.
I’m already late. Still worth a note?
Yes — say you’re late in the first message. Late isn’t always hopeless, but the sequence changes and we won’t pretend otherwise.
What do I send before we talk?
Issue type, letter date, deadline. Skip full ledgers and SIN/BN dumps until we’re engaged.
